Thank you for visiting the 21st Century Asian Arms Race. 21AAR for short. The goal of this effort is to circulate information and notable trends connected with the surge in defense spending across Eurasia.
Because we live in a connected world flooded with data don’t expect the coverage here to be 100% Asian-centric. This is crucial because the United States and its allies are still actively involved in the Afghan and Iraqi theaters.
Since the global arms trade spans continents it would be foolish confining the action to just India and China. (Both of whom are modernizing their respective militaries at an alarming rate, a trend that inspired 21AAR’s creation.)
