The Very First DSEI Japan Is Only Months Away!
Clarion Defence & Security, being one half of the organizing team behind DSEI Japan 2019, informed its newsletter subscribers on September 3 that it will have an event specific stand at DSEI London’s venue from September 10 until 13. This year’s DSEI maintains its position as the world’s largest military and security exhibition. Its follow up DSEI Japan 2019 is the brand’s first foray in an Asian country and Japan’s first honest-to-goodness arms show taking place at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture from November 18 until 20.
Anyone visiting DSEI London is invited to a DSEI Japan 2019 briefing session provided by Clarion Events staff on September 11, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. RSVPs can be done here.
With Tokyo orienting its military to guard Japan’s territorial boundaries the eventual requirements for this new mission has compelled a rare opening up of its manufacturing sector. DSEI Japan 2019 serves as an occasion where the rest of the world’s military technology enjoy direct access to Japanese partners and end users. In 2018 the organizers confirmed the attendance of BAE Systems, General Dynamics, Israel Aerospace Industries, Glock, Rafael, and Rolls Royce. Local support for DSEI Japan 2019 involves Japan’s defense ministry, foreign ministry, trade ministry and the Acquisition Technology & Logistics Agency (ATLA),
The importance of DSEI Japan 2019 can’t be stressed enough. Two vital domains that Tokyo is focusing on are naval capabilities and anti-ballistic missile defenses. Regarding the former, the JMSDF is poised to adopt the biggest fleet of fifth-generation stealth aircraft in Asia. The arrival of fresh Lockheed Martin F-35A squadrons by the 2020s cements Japan’s role as an irreplaceable partner in regional security. As for the second domain, given the tenuous situation in the Korean Peninsula, it’s imperative that Japan’s major cities are shielded by an effective network for both detection and intelligence gathering.
DSEI Japan 2019 won’t sell itself as a “fully integrated” exhibition if it stuck to just a few niches. Almost every relevant aspect of military procurement is being featured in the show. Japan’s defense forces are superbly equipped by any standard but must improve their present inventory in light of the defense ministry’s benchmarks. Clarion does promise exhibitors have the advantage of aligning their “brand” with the self defense force’s “future requirements.” As an incentive, the opportunities to meet with VIPs at the show are rich and there’s the promise of more DSEI Japan installments every two years.
To raise further awareness of DSEI Japan 2019, the organizers made sure DSEI London serves as a gateway for their premier arms show in Asia. For the second day of DSEI London the same team responsible for DSEI Japan 2019 are holding an exclusive session where they can properly introduce their event. Those attending have the benefit of event updates and a useful overview on how DSEI Japan 2019 brings new opportunities to a once inaccessible market. Professionals who want to learn more about DSEI Japan 2019 are more than welcome and should fill the RSVP form before September 5.
